Equipo del instituto Poal organiza el 32nd EULAR Sonography Course – MSUSAdvanced

The 32nd EULAR Sonography Course will be run simultaneously at three levels, basic,
intermediate, and advanced, each of them being a combination of lectures and hands-on
scanning of models and/or patients with musculoskeletal disorders in small groups with
experienced tutors. The course has been designed following the recommendations for the
content and conduct of EULAR musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) courses (Naredo E,
Bijlsma JW, Conaghan PG, et al. Ann Rheum Dis 2008; 67:1017-22).

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The ADVANCED COURSE will focus on advanced technological aspects, sonographic research, complex
anatomic areas and difficult pathologies, paediatric rheumatic diseases, overuse- and sports-related
disorders, and non-musculoskeletal organs involved in rheumatic diseases such as skin, nail, lung, salivary
glands, vessels, and nerves.
It is designed for delegates with previous performance of a minimum of 200 pathological MSUS
examinations and attendance to a Basic and Intermediate MSUS courses.
Additionally, the delegate must have completed a Basic MSUS Course and Intermediate MSUS Course
approved by EULAR:

  • Basic EULAR MSUS Course / Basic EULAR Scientifically endorsed MSUS Course / Other
equivalent level of Basic MSUS Course by National Societies (acceptance is dependent on EULAR).
  • Intermediate EULAR MSUS Course / Intermediate EULAR Scientifically MSUS Course.
This course is one of the criteria for EULAR Competency Assessment in MSUS in Rheumatology – Level 1:
  • Criterion 1: Basic EULAR MSUS Course.
  • Criterion 2: Intermediate EULAR MSUS Course
  • Criterion 3: Advanced EULAR MSUS Course
  • Criterion 4: EULAR Online Introductory Ultrasound Course.

  • To assess complex anatomic areas and difficult abnormalities by sonography.
  • To assess abnormalities related to rheumatic diseases in the skin, nail, lung, salivary glands,
    vessels, and nerves by sonography.
  • To elaborate the role of MSUS in paediatric rheumatic diseases.
